The Pro AM Expo paved the way in making breakin a competitive sport
The expo is the ultimate convention for every DJ and breakdancer who wants a weekend to showcase their skills, mingle with other artists, and improve themselves.
The Pro AM Expo paved the way in making breakin a competitive sport, and continues to host the biggest yearly convention for breakin, Tik Tok dancers and dance teams worldwide, joining forces with usa breakin and the hip hop kidz, to further educate all breakin athletes and dancers of all styles, over 1,000 people will be in attendance at the 2023 Pro AM at the Miami airport convention center on June 10th 2023.
The people behind the Pro-AM Dance/DJ Expo are Iconic B Boy Speedy Legs, and the acclaimed TV & Radio Host DJ Felix Sama . The expo does not just benefit those from the world of hip-hop, DJing, and breakdancing. It is also dedicated towards a noble cause. Part of the streaming proceeds will be donated to the various foundations that aim at uplifting people from low-income backgrounds.
Co-founder DJ Sama encourages all Breakers and DJs to attend the expo for an enriching experience. He comments, “The Pro-AM Dance/DJ Expo is a place where dancers and DJs go to showcase their skills and love for what they do to entertain the world.”
Breakdancing, or breaking as it is called in a competitive environment, was approved by the International Olympics Committee (IOC)’s executive board to become a part of the 2024 Paris Olympics in December 2020. Since then, many talented b-boys and b-girls have started preparation to make it to the international level. The Pro-AM Dance/DJ Expo will see many talented b-boys and b-girls with the potential of reaching the Olympics showcasing their skills.
Felix Sama is a remarkable figure in the world of Radio/Production and Club DJing. He has been a prominent part of the Miami DJing scene since the late ‘80s and has helped out many popular figures like Daddy Yankee and Fat Joe over the span of his career. Speedy Legs, born as Richard Fernandez, is a professional dancer and choreographer with over 39 years of experience. He has given many legendary performances with well-known figures like Run DMC, Wyclef, Kurtis Blow and The Wu Tang Clan.
